An internationally known food stylist, John F. Carafoli divides his time between New York City and Cape Cod. He cooks, styles, creates and tests recipes, writes, and produces feature articles about food for advertisements, magazines, and books.

Carafoli is the author of "Food Photography and Styling" (2003), the first book of its kind and the author of two children's cookbooks "Look Who's Cooking" and "The Cookie Cookbook" Published by Follett. Other publications range from his monthly column "Cooking with Carafoli" in the Cape Cod Times to Gastronomica: The Journal of Food & Culture.

Carafoli lectures as well as teaches master classes in cooking and food styling at a variety of institutions, including the Boston University Seminars in the Culinary Arts, the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, the Institute of Culinary Education (New York), New York University, the Oxford University Symposium on Food and Cookery, and the University of Wisconsin at Stout. Carafoli was recently profiled on the TV Food Network show, "Ultimate Kitchens," and was the 2003 keynote speaker at "Food on Film" in Minneapolis.
